 I would love one of these (banjolele)...after going to the bluegrass jam last week I think this would be perfect! Kewl sound!
I have been perusing ebay to see if there are any good condition cheap ones..
there is a very classy high brow expensive version of this that I was drooling over ..THE BEAN SPROUT

James the Tyler Mountain is not built any better than the Gold Tone,  I just liked it better,  You can't go wrong with either one.  My Gold tone did not have a resonator and that was the main reason I sold the gold tone and kept the Tyler Mountain

I have an old one form the early 40's and the sound is VERY harsh!

Also I find it more or less impossible to play mine without a felt pick - that could just be me though!

But no denying it, if you can afford one, then a banjolele is a nice addition to the family. I was fortunate enough to have mine given.
