kayak vs canoe
Lots of people like kayaking. Kayaks are sleek and move quickly through the water in a fun way.

There are a few reasons I prefer canoes. First, in kayaks you have to have your legs extended out straight in front of you, which I find uncomfortable. Second, it is harder to get in and out of a kayak. Third, you would not be able to take your dog in a kayak, but in a canoe you can take your dog and carry a picknick basket, etc. So it is easy to canoe somewhere, hop out, and have a picnic lunch.

If you were interested in a canoe you might consider a small lightweight one suitable for solo canoeing.
